She pointed out steps the Baltic American Freedom League had taken to push for a Russian apology for the illegal occupation of so many Eastern European nations. |

Representatives from the Baltic American Freedom League met with Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga on July 3, at her home in Jurmala, Latvia and presented her with the BAFL 2005 Freedom Award (also presented to Lithuanian President Adamkus and Estonian President Ruutel).

After the award ceremony, President Freiberga invited the BAFL representatives outside, where they toured the presidential grounds with her and discussed Baltic and Latvian political and economic issues for aproximately 45 minutes. |
